ABOUT THE MUNICIPAL WELLNESS PROGRAM

The Municipal Wellness Program was established in 2014 and is a partnership between the Association of Municipal Administrators, NS and the Nova Scotia Federation of Municipalities. It is made possible through the Municipal Group Employee Benefits Program with assistance from Morneau Shepell, Medavie Blue Cross and Desjardins Insurance

The Municipal Wellness Program is designed to inspire and support the creation of strong municipal workplace cultures and happier and healthier employees.

Vision: Healthy active employees thriving in healthy work environments.

Mission: To help municipalities develop and maintain a healthy organizational culture, ensure that the physical work environment is safe, and provide health resources for employees who wish to take accountability for their own health.
