Come Celebrate Wellness in May

The Month of May is devoted to learning about, talking about, and exploring ways to support our mental health and physical well-being. Whether you are working from home or in the office, we have been presented with many challenges and changes over the past couple of years. We all must foster and maintain good mental health (for ourselves and others) and physical health practices and ensure we have the skills and resources to cope with life's ups and downs.

Mental Health Week is May 2 – 8, 2022

CMHA Mental Health Week runs from May, 2 to 8, and the theme is empathy.

The Canadian Mental Health Association encourages everyone to #GetReal about how to help each other. Be there for each other when times are hard and be ready to listen. You don’t have to agree to understand, and you don’t have to fix it to help.

In addition to the Mental Health Week Toolkit created by CMHA, the Municipal Wellness Program has also created ideas to help you plan and promote Mental Health Week. We encourage employees to change their email signatures to show support. All the resources can be found here
